Weston in the Spotlight

WESTON BRIAN KING:

Weston was with me last year and has always been a happy playful guy. His laugh is too cute and he is always friendly. He makes me smile every time he comes to class :)

Weston Brian King was born February 10th, 2005. He is the oldest of two boys. Weston loves to eat olives off his fingers and cheese pizza. He loves to play outside, fetch with his dog Ellie, play soccer, read books, and ride his bike. He also loves to role play with his little brother Tyler; Weston is often the dad or teacher while Tyler is the "son" or "student."  Weston looks forward to school to learn new things and play with his friends. Weston is an observer. It often takes him longer to do things because he analyzes it but once he sets his mind to it he is off and running. Weston's letter to Santa this year said: "I been a very good boy helping mommy with the garbage. Can you bring me a Wii? I will buy you a Wii so we can share. I will make you cookies and give carrots to the reindeers. Thanks. Love Weston."  Weston loves to be a helper and is a joy to be around.

Sapphira

Sapphira Anne Firth:

Well, as most of you know Safi is my daughter. She has been attending all my preschool classes since she could walk. She absolutely loves having all the kids come to her house. She has always been a very alert, aware, ahead of the game kinda kid amazing us at every stage. She was a blessing to out souls after 2 second term miscarriages. She has an awesome sense of humor and is a great mixture of both my husband and I (which isn’t always a good thing but mostly she got all of our good traits). She’s always had a no fear attitude and is very strong and balanced. Her language skills exploded early so we sometimes forget she is still 2 and expect a lot from her, especially when she is doing everything the 4/5 yr old class is doing :) And YES i completely endorse bragging about your kids!

Safi loves to swim, play in the snow, paint, play with her sisters, read books with mom, watch cartoons with dad, play with her dog Supi, take care of her pretend babies, and play with friends! We hope to see you all at her Birthday party

Utah Food Bank at Smiths

groceries

If you shop at Smiths consider donating to the Food Bank. They arent marketing it very well b/c you see the sign and flyers on your way out but at the cashier you can donate a bag of groceries for $7 or funds toward a turkey or ham for $10.

We have been through some tough times in the last 6 yrs and we still arent rich by any means but I am very thankful that we have a warm home, food, and my kids arent in the hospital or something so I have been trying to give back as much as I can this year. Just thought I’d pass along opportunities to you as well so we can teach our kids to be thankful for the comforts we have and to become aware that not all kids have these basic needs. Not guilt, just awareness and an example to help others in small ways where we can.
